Boseman Family LLC & Original Projects
Raised in Anderson, South Carolina, Kevin Boseman developed an early passion for artistic expression, performance, and storytelling, foundations that would later shape an international creative career spanning dance, theatre, film, and cultural development.
As an Alvin Ailey Scholarship recipient at the prestigious The Ailey School, Kevin refined his artistic voice through rigorous classical and contemporary training, developing a creative philosophy rooted in discipline, vulnerability, and emotional truth.
Kevin’s early career as a featured dancer with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Martha Graham Dance Company brought him to some of the world’s most celebrated stages, including performances at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and Herod Atticus in Athens, Greece.
His artistic journey later expanded into acting, choreography, directing, and producing, with credits spanning Broadway, national tours, and acclaimed regional productions including The Lion King, The Color Purple, Shrek the Musical, and Equus.
As a choreographer and creative collaborator, Kevin has developed projects with institutions including National Black Theatre, The Apollo, Barrington Stage Company, and South Coast Repertory, creating work centered on collaboration, cultural resonance, and artistic rigor.
As a steward of the Chadwick Boseman Estate, Kevin helped shepherd Chadwick Boseman’s Deep Azure onto the international stage at Shakespeare’s Globe in London, further advancing the preservation and celebration of Black storytelling and artistic legacy.
Across every discipline, Kevin’s work remains grounded in the belief that art can serve as a force for healing, resistance, memory, and human connection, centering Black cultural expression, queer visibility, and stories too often overlooked.
Today, Kevin continues developing original creative projects spanning film, theatre, publishing, and cultural initiatives while helping guide the vision and creative direction of Boseman Family LLC through purpose-driven storytelling and artistic collaboration.
